My friend Mike had a few extra slabs of European beech lying around, which he very graciously decided to bestow on me! It was daunting, not having worked with hardwoods before, but I was able to spin them into a new product line. Having carved two of these beasts now, I’m feeling pretty comfortable putting a few more out there!
